Rayong announces 32 new and confirmed cases of Covid -19 most linked to a mushroom farm

The Rayong Public Health Office today (June 25th) has announced 30 new confirmed cases of Covid-19.

This makes a total of 1,357 cases of Covid-19 in Rayong since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.

Of those new cases, 13 were found through contact tracing and in hospitals, and 17 were found through active case-finding at a mushroom farm in the Klang District.

Of those 1,357, 1,139 are Thais while 218 are foreigners/migrant workers.

Additionally, 1,054 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered. 294 are still in medical care and a total of nine deaths were reported in Rayong since this current wave began.

Many markets in the district have been temporarily closed as well as three schools in the district to prevent the wider spread of the virus.

A field hospital has been built at the mushroom farm and authorities are preparing two more quarantine places as of press time tonight.
