Chonburi governor orders closure/lockdown of three locations to control Covid-19 spread in the province

Chonburi-

The Chonburi Governor, Phakkhrathon Thianchai, ordered the closure of three locations this evening, June 20th, 2021, to control the spread of Covid-19.

These closures come after the province announced 175 new cases of the virus today, the highest since a recent round of outbreaks in Chonburi began in April. Click here to read more about that.

The new locations ordered closed tonight are:

1. The Standard Construction Workers Camp Performance Co. Ltd (SPC) located at Moo 3 in the Khao Khan Song sub-district in Si Racha until the 27th of June. The order prohibits anyone from exiting or entering the area unless they have permission from Chonburi communicable disease control officers.

2. The JWS Construction Co. Ltd camp located on Sukhumvit Road, Soi 2, in Si Racha until July 3rd, 2021. The order prohibits anyone from exiting or entering the area unless they have permission from Chonburi communicable disease control officers.

3. Soi Ratprasit in the Ban Khod sub-district in Mueang Chonburi from house number 796/36 until the end of the road until July 4th, 2021. The order prohibits anyone from exiting or entering the area unless they have permission from Chonburi communicable disease control officers. This is an expansion on a previous order for this road which you can read here.

This is in addition to a closure/lockdown order for a section of the New Market in Mueang Chonburi as well. You can see that order, in English, by clicking here.

All of these closures are designed to help bring the Covid-19 situation under control in the province. People living and working in these locations are being provided food, water, and supplies as needed during the quarantine/shutdown period. Those who test positive for Covid-19 are moved to field hospitals or regular hospitals depending on their condition.
