Si Racha –
A female motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after a stray dog allegedly ran in front of her motorbike in Si Racha yesterday (June 13th).
Emergency responders were notified of the accident just after midnight in Nong Kham on a rural road in the sub-district.
They and local Thai news reporters arrived at the scene to find a damaged motorbike lying in the middle of the road.
Nearby, rescue staff found a female motorbike driver who had sustained serious head injuries but was coherent and conscious. She was rushed to a local hospital for urgent medical assistance. Her name was withheld at her request.
She told emergency responders, “A stray dog had dashed out in front of my motorbike while I was driving at high speed. I lost control as I swerved to avoid a crash with the dog.”
Rescue workers did not see the stray dog in the area which reportedly had fled after the accident but was not hit nor injured.
