Pattaya –
An American ex-pat driver suffered only minor injuries after he reportedly crashed into a parked car before overturning his own vehicle in Pattaya last night (June 4th).

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the accident at 11:00 P.M. on Soi Khao Phratamnuk 5, Nongprue.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find an overturned black sedan lying in the middle of the road.
The driver, Mr. Richard Lee Montez, 60, an American national, had sustained only minor injuries according to first responders and was waiting for police.
Another white car was found damaged nearby that had been parked on the side of the road. The car’s owner, Mr. Kittipong Chumbua, 36, was not injured.
Kittipong told The Pattaya News reporters, “I parked my car on the side of the road before stepping away. I was still in the area and saw the black sedan driven by Mr. Montez which was driving at high speed and lost control before crashing into the back of my car and overturning.”
Mr. Montez was not interviewed immediately following the accident and his statement on the events and what took place was not made available by Pattaya police.
Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV nearby to determine the exact sequence of events involved in the accident and to determine potential legal liability and fault.
