Sattahip pickup truck driver crashes into wall, bringing down power pole and various cables

A pickup driver has sustained injuries after he drove his pickup truck into a wall and a power pole in Sattahip last night causing numerous property damages (May 31st).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 11:00 P.M. in Soi Bussaba Resort, Na Jomtien.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck, a damaged house wall and a broken power pole which blocked the road from traffic.

The driver, Mr. Somchai Boonjit, 44, had sustained various injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Local residents who witnessed the aftermath of the incident but declined to give their names told The Pattaya News they didn’t see the pickup truck crash but they heard the collision before finding the damaged pickup. They were the people who called for medical assistance for Somchai.

Sattahip Police are reviewing the incident.
