Fighting for COVID-19 together, Minor delivers 100,000 meal boxes support for healthcare workers and volunteers at the vaccination centers situated outside the hospital through Central Group for a 6-month period

Minor International Public Company Limited joins hands with Central Group to support the government in accelerating vaccine distribution and management of vaccination centers situated outside the hospitals. With a cooperative policy of more than 40 leading organizations, Minor is ready to stand together with the Thai people and will try to do our parts as to help the country reach its aim of having more than 70% of the population vaccinated by the end of this year by supporting over 100,000 meal boxes to the medical team and volunteers at the vaccination centers situated outside the hospital through Central Group for a 6-month period.

Mr. William Heinecke, Chairman of the Board of Minor International Company Limited said on behalf of Minor that after the brainstorming session with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand along with CEOs of more than 40 leading companies across all business sectors, Minor in collaboration with Central Group is on a mission to support vaccine distribution by utilizing our strengths as a leader in restaurant business of more than 10 restaurant brands, including The Pizza Company, Bonchon, Sizzler, Burger King, Swensen’s, Dairy Queen and The Coffee Club, to deliver food supplies from our restaurants to support medical staffs and volunteers as to help they perform their duties to the fullest. The food supplies are to be delivered to the vaccination centers and also field hospitals at a capacity of 600 boxes per day, divided into 200 boxes per center (100 boxes per meal). The food supports will be delivered to three main centers, which are at Central Ladprao, Central Pinklao, and Robinson Ladkrabang for 6 months with a total value of over 15 million baht.   

Minor also distributed food support to the medical teams and volunteers at the field hospital at the pre-admission center at Supachalasai meeting room, Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Physical Education, and provided 100 food boxes through 10 days to patients infected with COVID-19.  We hope to cooperate with both the public and private sectors in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. This assistance is part of our initiatives to encourage and thank the medical teams for doing their best to help the country move beyond the crisis,” concluded Mr. Heinecke.

 Meanwhile, Mr. Pichai Chirathiwat, Executive Director, Central Group said that Central Group gathers the strengths of its business group nationwide, working with partners and respected customers to support the government in combatting the spread of the COVID-19 virus by giving hands to those affected by the situation both directly and indirectly. We also offer 144 areas nationwide to be vaccination stations. The company passes on love and care to Thais through the supports of medical equipment, medicines, living supplies, food, and beverages for all sectors including healthcare professionals, hospitals, customers, partners communities, employees, and affected people across the country. In addition, the company has been cooperating with partners such as The Minor Food Group Public Company Limited who support over 100,000 meals at the vaccination centers hoping to become the vital force for healthcare workers. We are confident that all Thai teams will fight and go through this difficult crisis together.
