Pattaya –
A stray dog died at the scene while a motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after the driver crashed into a dog crossing the highway in South Pattaya last night (May 23rd).
Emergency responders from Sawang Boriboon were notified of the accident at 10:00 P.M. on Sukhumvit Road in front of a Big C store.
They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of a deceased black dog on the road near a damaged motorbike.
The motorbike driver, Mr. Supanya Saeeunf, 33, was unconscious. A female passenger, who wasn’t named by law enforcement, had sustained only minor injuries. They were both taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.
Witnesses told Sawang Boriboon rescue staff that the dog had immediately rushed out in front of the motorbike driver before the crash, allowing no time for the driver to stop or change his path.
Pattaya City Police reviewed CCTV in the vicinity and appeared to confirm the statements of witnesses at the scene of the accident.
