Pattaya Mayor cooks ‘Pad Thai’ for medical staff at Pattaya City Hospital

The Pattaya City Mayor personally cooked Pad Thai yesterday, May 21st, 2021, for medical staffers who worked in the vaccination campaign at the Pattaya City Hospital.

The first day of the local Covid -19 mass vaccination campaign had begun on Friday (May 20^th) in Pattaya and Banglamung to start to get the majority of the area vaccinated in advance of being able to bring back vaccinated foreign tourists later this year.

Yesterday (May 21^st) was the second day of a local Covid -19 mass vaccination campaign.

Local businesses reportedly provided ingredients for the meal at the hospital. The Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunplume cooked Pad Thai before handing it out to medical staffers who were working in the vaccination area in order to support and encourage the medical teams.

Medical staff seemed to highly appreciate the gesture with many staff stating the food was “aroi” (delicious in Thai) and thanking the Mayor for personally taking time out of his busy schedule to cook for them.
