Fire guts car at Pattaya garage, alarms local residents

Pattaya-

A fire damaged a parked car at a garage in Naklua last night (May 20th).

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 11:00 P.M. at a garage in Soi Naklua 9 in Banglamung.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the black car whose engine was completely ablaze. It took about 15 minutes to put out the fire, however, the engine was a complete loss.

Mr. Chaiyachet Wongrat, 37, the garage owner, told The Pattaya News, “I was eating inside the house when I smelled something was burning from outside.”

“I came out and discovered smoke and that a fire had broken out in front of the garage on the black car.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation according to Naklua firefighters.
