Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand-
A young female food stall vendor in Pattaya with the help of her friends and other charitable individuals decided to spend an entire day earlier this week cooking and providing freshly made food for free to the needy in Pattaya.
Ms. Wilaiporn K started a new food business near Tukcom Mall last week and decided to give back to the people of Pattaya by giving all food away for FREE on Sunday, the 16th of May. Nancy Food Store has great offers on a daily basis according to Wilaiporn and as you can see in the photos the team had a great time helping give back to the less fortunate.
Pattaya is currently, for the third time in a year, suffering from its critical tourism and entertainment industry being shut due to Covid-19 precautions, causing significant economic damage to a city that is dependent on domestic and foreign tourism for roughly 80 percent of its total GDP.
Due to measures that have seen entertainment venues and tourist attractions force closed that have caused a domino effect causing many in various support industries to close, many have lost all they have and the amount of homeless on the streets in the city has unfortunately grown.
By giving back, Wilaiporn and her team hoped they could make things easier for local residents for at least one day. Here are some photos:
