The ship was reportedly coming from China, Hong Kong, and other locations before stopping at the Chonburi port. The ship is scheduled next to be going to a port in Bangkok.

According to the ship’s crew, nobody realized that the dead whale shark was on the front of the ship or how it occurred.

Relevant officers have already been informed about the dead whale shark and its body was removed for an autopsy to find the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, a local fisherman last week captured the rare sighting of what appeared to be a whale shark in the sea near Pattaya. Based on the size of the shark found at the Laem Chabang port they are believed to be different animals.
