Pattaya –
A Myanmar man has sustained moderate injuries after falling from a fifth floor roof onto a lower balcony while conducting roof tiling repairs in Pattaya.
The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident yesterday afternoon (May 8th) at an apartment building in Nongprue.
Police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Ong Ong, 31, a Myanmar national. He had sustained various injuries and was lying on a lower balcony. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical assistance.
His colleague, who declined to give his name, told The Pattaya News, “Mr. Ong was conducting standard roof tile repairs with me on the fifth floor before a tile he was standing on broke. He lost his balance and fell through the roof but landed on a lower balcony.”
A representative from the Pattaya City Police stated that they will be reviewing the safety standards utilized during the incident.
