A body of one of two missing boat crew members who vanished into the ocean off of the Pattaya coastline following a storm capsizing their fishing boat yesterday morning (May 6th) was found this afternoon by Royal Thai Navy divers (May 7th).
The Royal Thai Navy was notified of the incident yesterday in the early morning near Bamboo Island off the coast of Pattaya.

This afternoon (May 7th) the body of Mr. Peerayut Sornjai, 31, one of the two missing boat crew members, was found floating in the sea near Klueng Badan Island by Royal Thai Navy search parties and divers. His body was recovered from the water and brought onto a local beach.
One of the boat crew members who had survived the incident and was rescued yesterday, Mr. Tanakorn Pangpalee, 17, told The Pattaya News, “The boat captain and I held onto empty gallon barrels used for water and oil and floated in the sea for more than two hours in rough conditions before nearby rescue boats saved us. Our fellow crew members vanished under the waves following the boat capsizing after a large wave hit us.”
The search for the final missing boat crew member is continuing, whose identity was not released by the Royal Thai Navy at this time.
