The Austria consul and his wife donated cash for assistance for children at the Baan Kruja Anti Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Center in the Pattaya area this week.
On May 3rd the Consul General at the Austria Embassy Mr. Gerhard Goetz and his wife have donated 135,000 baht cash to the center via the director Mr. Suppakorn Noja to help with expenses in the center.
Mr. Suppakorn said thank you to Mr. Gerhard and his wife and the Austrian police for helping the kids. Due to the Covid -19 situation, the center has also been heavily affected by the government measurements to prevent the potential spread of the virus during a current third round of infections in Thailand.
Many local charities struggle just as much as businesses during the Covid-19 situation due to lack of domestic tourism, foreign tourism, visitors, and businesses able to support the charities leaving them in difficult positions to support their causes.
