Banglamung –
A man has been rescued after trying to jump from a road sign in Nongprue early this morning (May 4th).
The Nongprue Police was notified of the incident at 3:00 A.M. at a road sign on Pattaya – Marpatput Road.
They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a Thai man, 2,4 who was holding onto and crying on the road sign high above the road. His name was withheld per editorial policy.
It took more than one hour for police and emergency responders to talk to and help the man down with a crane. He was going brought down safely to the ground but in a highly emotional state.
His mother, who was present and helping convince him to come down, told The Pattaya News her son was regretful about his life. She asked him to do some work and earn some money. She claimed he is also an alcoholic which contributed to the problem. Her son was taken to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and support.
