Ban Bueng –

Two people have been pronounced dead after a motorbike driver collided with a trailer truck in Ban Bueng, one of them is believed to be a foreign national.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Sunday (April 25th) on Bueng – Klang Road in Klong Giw sub-district.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find two bodies on the road, one identified as Nhas Nhen, age not given. He was reportedly a foreign national, but police did not release his nationality to the press. No identification was found on the other body and Ban Bueng police are still working on determining the identity of that person.

A witness, Mr. Somchai Sangjan, 35, told associated Thai press “The trailer truck driver warned the motorbike driver by beeping his horn from far away but the motorbike driver still drove directly into the lane of the truck, colliding with them.
The truck driver, Mr. Wichan Puangsantia, 39, told associated Thai press, “The motorbike driver was taking a U-turn and heading directly onto my truck’s lane. I was unable to avoid the collision and brake in time, my truck carried heavy steel beams which cause quick stops to be impossible.”
