Sattahip –
An extremely intoxicated Cambodian man was arrested on a street in Sattahip at noon today (April 20th), after alarming local business owners and residents. Police also found evidence of drug usage by the unidentified man.
The Sattahip Police was notified of the incident at about noon near a fish market in Sattahip after several market vendors called them expressing concern about the man and situation.
Police and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the Cambodian man, aged around 30-years-old, who was extremely intoxicated and talking in circles. He did not have identification but was speaking only in Khmer, which led the authorities to identify the man as Cambodian.
Local fish market vendors were afraid that the man might attack people nearby him as he was reportedly dancing erratically and yelling at bystanders so they called Sattahip police. It took several police officers and volunteers to detain the man who continued to act erratically.
Police found a device used for taking crystal methamphetamine and a bag of crystal methamphetamine on the man after an inspection.
The unidentified man was taken to the Sattahip Police Station for drug testing and to establish his identity.
