Teenage driver dies after he crashes his motorbike into Chonburi power pole

Chonburi –

A young teenage driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed his motorbike into a power pole in Mueang Chonburi.

The Don Hualor Police was notified of the accident in the early morning on Sunday, April 11th near a local Buddhist temple.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of the driver who was identified as Mr. Teerapong Sonla, 19, from Sakhon Nakhon.

He had sustained severe head injuries and had not been wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Nearby, rescue workers found his damaged motorbike and the power pole.

Local residents nearby told The Pattaya News they saw the teenager was driving at high speed before losing control and crashing into the power pole at a curve. There were several accidents at this curve before recently with two deaths in the last year, notes The Pattaya News.
