Female motorbike driver from Chonburi dies after colliding with pickup truck, driver of truck flees the scene

Chonburi –

A female motorbike driver has been pronounced dead while her passenger sustained serious injuries after being hit by a pickup truck in Ban Bueng. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene following the accident.

The Ban Bueng Police was notified of the accident on Sunday night around midnight (April 4th) on a rural road in the Nong Irun sub-district.

Responding police officers arrived at the scene to find two injured people on the road who were named Mr. Taweesak Kaset, 52, and Mrs. Sirinuan Eiamrueng, 44.

They were rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance. Mrs. Sirinuan was later tragically pronounced dead.

CCTV footage released by Ban Bueng Police appears to show that the pickup truck driver collided with the motorbike in the opposite lane before speeding away, fleeing the scene of the accident.

Ban Bueng police are conducting further investigation to locate the hit-and-run driver.
