Thailand discovered 87 domestic infections among a total of 96 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced this morning, April 4th.
The majority of 78 local cases were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Bangkok with 34, Samut Sakhon with 9, Chonburi with 7 (However, the Chonburi authorities recently confirmed with the latest cases of 8 here as the CCSA has already cut the results earlier), Surat Thani with 6, Samut Prakan with 5, Saphan Buri with 5, Nakhon Prathom with 3, Khon Kaen with 2, Nonthaburi with 2, Pathum Thani with 2, Narathiwas with 1, Ayutthaya with 1, and Udon Thani with 1.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced that 13 infected patients in Bangkok have reportedly visited three entertainment venues in the Thonglor and Ekkamai areas from March 25th to the 30th. The places are Krystal Club on 25-30 March, Bla Bla Bar on 27-30 March, and Beer House on 27-30 March.
Customers who have also visited the venues in question are being asked to fill out their information to assess their risk of infection on http://bkkcovid19.bangkok.go.th
Another nine domestic infections were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, migrant worker’s dormitories, and immigration detention in Samut Sakhon with 4, Samut Prakan with 4, and Bangkok with 1. All of them are asymptomatic and are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.
As of today, 106 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 29,127 cases with 27,774 recoveries and a total of 94 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
