Thailand reported 21 domestic infections out of a total of 26 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration this morning, April 1st.
The majority of 13 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Bangkok with 7, Samut Prakan with 3, and Samut Sakhon with 3.
The other eight cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, migrant worker’s dormitories, and immigration detention in Samut Sakhon. All of them are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.
As of today, 122 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 28,889 cases with 27,548 recoveries and a total of 94 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
