Woman asks thief to return wallet she left at shop in Pattaya area

Banglamung-

A local woman has publically asked a thief who reportedly stole her wallet that she forgot at a fabric shop in Banglamung to return it.

Ms. Aonnapa Wongsang, 22, told The Pattaya News, “I was shopping inside the shop with my boyfriend yesterday (March 30th). I left my wallet on a shelf in a fabric section by accident before I left the shop.”

“I later realized and went back to the shop. I didn’t find my wallet. I asked the shop owner to check the CCTV footage to determine.” Aonnapa continued.

“The CCTV footage shows an unidentified woman picked my wallet up from the shelf and pocketed it before she went out from the shop.” Aonnapa explained.

“There was 2,000 baht cash and some very important cards and personal identification documents in my wallet.” Aonnapa said.

“I have already reported the incident to the Nongprue Police but wanted to speak to the press as well.” Aonnapa added.

“If the thief who stole my wallet returns it back to me, I will not file any legal charges against her. I am asking her to return it to the shop where they will contact me to get it back.” Aonnapa concluded.

The name of the shop was not given to the public and police are still investigating the crime. Nongprue police have also asked for the woman to turn herself in and return the wallet, noting the victim said no charges would be filed if she did.
