A suspected drug dealer has sustained several injures from a motorbike accident while trying to escape from police in Mueang Chonburi yesterday afternoon, March 29th, 2021. Police reported to the local Thai media that they seized 2,000 methamphetamine pills and 500 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
A team of police from the Chonburi Provincial police and the Pattaya City Police announced that they arrested the suspect, Mr. Sonthaya ‘Boy’ Suwan in the Huay Kapi sub-district. The age of the suspect was not stated in the announcement.
The suspect had sustained multiple injuries from a motorbike accident while he was trying to escape from police.
Police reported that they continued a search at the suspect’s house in the Samet sub-district where they seized 2,000 methamphetamine pills and 500 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
The suspect reportedly admitted he was a narcotic delivery man (mule) who received from 1,000 baht to 10,000 baht depending on the number of narcotics he delivered. He reportedly claimed that he did not know who he worked for or how to contact them directly.
He is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 drugs with the intent to sell.
