Banglamung –
A Nigerian man and a Thai woman have been arrested and charged with allegedly possessing and selling cocaine in Banglamung. Police also seized their property reportedly worth more than 500,000 baht.
The Region 2 Police reported their team operated a drug sting operation on Friday (March 26th) after they received a tip-off from a concerned citizen that the suspects were allegedly selling cocaine in the Pattaya and Bangkok area.
The Region 2 Police arrested a male Nigerian national and a Thai woman following the tip and sting. They were arrested in the Takiean Tia sub-district. The names of the suspects were not given by police in the initial report.
Police seized 9.8 grams of cocaine and also seized various property worth 529,665 baht from them. The property was reportedly gained with illegal profit from drugs.
They were taken to the Banglamung Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of Category 2 drugs (cocaine) with intent to sell. The immediate plea of the suspects was not made available.
