Young driver dies after he crashes his vehicle into parked trailer truck in Chonburi

Chonburi –

A young driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed his pickup truck into a parked trailer truck on the side of a road in Mueang Chonburi early yesterday morning (March 26th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Sukhumvit Road in the Klong Tamru sub-district.

They arrived at the scene to find the body of the driver Mr. Poramet Jaroensuk, 21, inside the damaged pickup truck.

A pickup truck passenger, Mr. Teerayut Ariyamontri, 21, had sustained only minor injuries.

The damaged trailer truck driver Mr. Chaiwat Aobin, 42, was waiting for law enforcement officials at the scene. He was not injured.

Chaiwat told The Pattaya News, “I stopped my truck on the side of the road to take a nap before Poramet crashed into the rear end of my truck.”

Police are checking CCTV footage to see if Chaiwat had properly turned on his signals and if any charges will be filed.
