Pattaya area stray dog seriously injured, allegedly from gunshot, now in recovery, police hunting for offender

Banglamung –

A stay dog has sustained serious injuries allegedly from a gunshot in Banglamung.

A veterinarian at Nern Plubwan Animal Hospital was notified that a Thai male dog aged around five years old had sustained serious injuries in Soi Chaiyapruek 2, Huayyai, earlier this week.

Doctor Padet Siridamrong, the director of Nern Plubwan Animal Hospital told The Pattaya News, “Something similar to a bullet pierced through one of the dog’s feet. We believe that the dog might have been injured five days ago. The wound is severely infected. It appears someone shot the dog but we are still partnering with police for a full investigation.”

“We are doing our best to help the dog but we are not sure if the dog can walk or we might have to resort to amputation.” Doctor Padet continued.

Local residents who found the dog injured in a drain are urging police to find who did this to the dog.

Banglamung police stated they are reviewing CCTV in the area to determine who harmed the dog and how the incident happened. The dog is believed to be a “Soi” dog with no home in the area.
