Pattaya, Thailand-
A group of local residents, who we originally covered here last year during the first Covid-19 shutdown and resulting situation, have decided to assist the still large number of needy in the area due to border closures and lack of tourism this year.
From May 13, 2020, to August 10, 2020, for 90 days, the team led by Mr. Olivier Gachoud distributed more than 27,000 meals, on Thappraya soi 5.
The situation being still worrying, this team, still led by Mr. Olivier Gachoud, decided to resume the distribution of meals with always the same objective, that is to say, a daily meal for anyone who needs it, no questions asked.
The distribution location has changed, it is now on Beach Road, opposite the police station and Soi 9. This also allows police officers to assist easily with crowd control and proper Covid-19 measures.
Initially, this distribution will take place every morning at 8 a.m. from March 15 to April 30, 2021. Anyone is also welcome to join and assist, either financially or with their own helping hand, if they choose in helping to support the local community and those who need it. Pattaya still has a large number of homeless and hungry people, many of who live on or near the beach area. This free breakfast helps those who most need it.
