Man arrested in Sattahip for allegedly selling E-cigarettes and vaping products online

Sattahip –

A 24-year-old Thai man has been arrested in Sattahip for allegedly selling E-cigarettes and vaping equipment online, which is against Thai law.

A team from the Consumer Protection Police Division and the Na Jomtien Police arrested Mr. Nattaphon Jampathong, 24, from Nongprue, at 4:00 P.M. yesterday, March 11th.

Police seized five bottles of liquid used to supply E-cigarettes that cost 700 hundred baht. He was arrested at a petrol station in the Na Jomtien sub-district.

The arrest came after police had received a tip from a concerned citizen that the suspect was selling E-cigarettes and vaping products via Facebook.

Police conducted a sting operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect was taken to the Sattahip Police Station to face charges of offenses to the consumer protection law for selling vaping and vaping devices.

Meanwhile, earlier this week a 45-year-old Thai man had been arrested in the Pattaya area for allegedly selling vaping equipment.
