Rescue workers reported they were notified of the major accident on the Si Racha – Hoopbon Road in the Nong Kham sub-district yesterday (March 8th). In the incident, a large trailer truck lost control, overturning and blocking the road, causing at least five other vehicles to collide with two of them crashing into a noodle restaurant and grocery store located on the side of the road. One of the vehicles hit a female patron of the noodle restaurant.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find an overturned trailer truck on the road which was blocking traffic in all directions. The truck driver, Mr. Adithep Buranpai, 41, was found deceased inside the cab of the vehicle with unspecified injuries.

Another female, aged 54, whose name was withheld at her request, had been eating noodles at a restaurant hit by the trailer truck and had sustained head and foot injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.
