Pattaya –
The Chonburi Police Deputy Commander handed out free food to the needy in Pattaya over the past weekend for the second week in a row, with him and his other family members personally cooking and providing the meals.
The food giveaway took place yesterday (March 7th) in front of the Pattaya City Police station around sunset and was led by Chonburi Police Deputy Commander Colonel Maykawit Praditphon and his family. The family had cooked food for the needy just days before and after strong public response and community gratitude came together again this weekend to help those in need.
Hundreds of sets of home-cooked fresh food were made for those in need. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lack of foreign tourists due to borders still being closed without a mandatory quarantine, many people remain out of work or struggling to make ends meet in Pattaya.
The Pattaya City Police and the Pattaya City Municipality Law Enforcement assisted in handing out free meals to the needy with proper Covid-19 precautions and measurements. Smiles on many people’s faces, including some who have lost their homes and businesses and reside in and around the beach, were seen, thanking the family and police for taking care of the local community.
