Thailand discovered 60 domestic infections among a total of 65 new Covid-19 Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced today, March 7th.
The majority of 40 domestic cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant worker’s dormitories in Samut Sakhon with 38 and Pathum Thani with 2. Most of them are Myanmar migrant workers. All of them are being isolated at local and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.
The other 20 infections were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Samut Sakhon with 9, Tak with 5, Nakhon Nayok with 2, Bangkok with 2, Pathum Thani with 1, and Ayutthaya with 1. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.
As of today, 58 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 26,370 cases with 25,744 recoveries and a total of 85 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
