Nightclub owner arrested for allegedly illegally operating entertainment business and selling alcohol without permission in Pattaya

Pattaya, Chonburi –

A local nightclub owner has been arrested for allegedly illegally operating an entertainment business and selling alcohol without a permit.

The Region 2 Police reports that the Chonburi Provincial Police was notified via an online channel from an anonymous tip that the nightclub, which is located in North Pattaya and reportedly oriented towards the gay market demographic, was presenting pornographic shows on weekends at night.

The Pattaya City Police had inspected the night club following the notification but no pornographic shows were presented at the nightclub.

However, Pattaya Police asked the nightclub owner to present the nightclub license but the owner had reportedly failed to present the document at the time of the request.

The owner, who was later arrested but not named to the press, is facing charges with operating an entertainment business illegally and selling alcohol without a permit.
