According to the Chonburi Public Health Department, the man is likely not contagious due to a low viral load and might have infected many days ago. The new patient, like his brother, is completely asymptomatic.
Regardless of being asymptomatic and likely not contagious, the man has been isolated at a hospital and close contacts of his are in the process of being tested, contact traced, and quarantined. Officials have also been testing migrant workers in the camp where the two recent patients live.
Health officials have asked the public for calm and say the situation is under control.
