RECAP: Thailand finds 62 domestic infections among 70 new Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours

Thailand discovered 62 domestic infections among 70 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced this morning, February 28th.

The majority of 43 domestic cases were hospital cases that were reported in Samut Sakhon with 39, Pathum Thani with 2, Chonburi with 1 (we have reported in the article here), and Nakhon Pathom with 1. Most of them are asymptomatic, according to the reports. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.

The other 19 cases were found during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant workers dormitories, in Samut Sakhon with 10 and Pathum Thani with 9. They are both Thai nationals and Myanmar migrant workers. All of them are now isolated at provincial state quarantines and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.

As of today, 106 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 25,951 cases with 25,128 recoveries and a total of 83 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
