He was arrested at a house in Soi Bonkai in Nongprue. Police used the CCTV footage to identify and track the suspect to his home, according to Police Chief Pisit Poonsap.

Police seized the taxi motorbike shirt that he was allegedly wearing when he attacked the Chilean man. Mr. Boonmee has not released a public statement to the Pattaya press and it is unknown if he has secured the services of a lawyer at this time.
