This afternoon, a team of police led by the Chonburi Provincial Police Deputy Commander Colonel Korrawat Janpradit revealed more details to the Pattaya press.

Mr. Amorn, the suspect, reportedly admitted to police, “The Chilean man was very drunk. The Chilean kept asking me for a ride but was heavily intoxicated.”

“There was a problem with language communication in which we both did not understand each other. I asked the Chilean man to find another taxi motorbike driver as I thought he was too drunk and annoying me.” Amorn stated.

“I am a person who easily gets annoyed and angry with anything. My anger led me to assault the Chilean man after he would not leave me alone and kept drunkenly bothering me for a ride when I said no. I am sorry for what I have done to him.” Amorn concluded.

Another taxi motorbike driver, who was nearby the scene, Mr. Rittisak Kansumanoe, told Pattaya Police, “I don’t know what was going on between them before but the Chilean man asked me to take him to the police station when he approached me covered in his own blood.”

Colonel Korrawat said, “At this stage the suspect is facing charges of offence against another person causing injuries to one’s body or mind.”

Mr. Salvatore said thank you to the Pattaya City Police and the Pattaya Tourist Police for helping him and quickly arresting the suspect. Pattaya Police apologized on behalf of the city and gave the victim a gift basket.
