Chilean man injured, suffers broken nose, after being attacked by Pattaya taxi motorbike driver, caught on camera

Pattaya –

A Chilean man has filed a report to the Pattaya City Police after appearing to be assaulted by a Pattaya taxi motorbike driver early this morning (February 25th).

Mr. Salvatore Andres Castromedina, 24, a Chilean national, filed a report around 2:00 A.M. this morning to Captain Puttarak Sornkamharn of the Pattaya City Police. He had broken his nose and his clothes and face were covered in blood.

He explained to police via an interpreter, “I came out from a night club on Pattaya Walking Street after it was closed.”

“I wanted to go to Soi Buakhao but the taxi motorbike driver attacked me while we were discussing the price. I went to the Pattaya Police Station with another taxi motorbike to file a police report.”

The victim can be seen on CCTV video that was viewed by The Pattaya News having what appeared to be a calm discussion with two taxi drivers on Walking Street when the victim appears to be assaulted without provocation by one taxi driver. He was later taken to a hospital for medical assistance following a police report being filed.

Police went to the scene of the incident on Walking Street where they found fresh bloodstains on the ground. Police checked CCTV footage nearby and have now released the footage to The Pattaya News which can be found on our social media channels like Tiktok and Facebook or just click here.

The suspect, who was wearing a taxi motorbike shirt, appears to be sitting with the Chilean man before the taxi driver stood, assaults the victim, and proceeds to kick the Chilean’ man in the face multiple times, based on CCTV footage released to The Pattaya News.

Police are continuing their investigation to find the suspect to face legal action.

Update: The suspect has been found as of 11:00 A.M. this morning, we have more coming in a second article soon.
