The Pattaya News inspected Pattaya Beach at 2:00 A.M. early this morning (February 18th).

Water had flowed from higher points in town to drain onto Pattaya beach into the sea after yesterday’s rains in which portions of the beach were washed away, causing ditches and furrows to appear on the sand.

Pattaya City, to their credit, was utilizing construction equipment to quickly smooth the sand and repair the damage caused by the recent rainstorms. Despite the move to quickly resolve any erosion, negative comments on social media stated that there needed to be alternative solutions after heavy rainstorms other than constantly utilizing time, labor, and materials to repair the damages.
