Today, (February 16th), multiple reported victims met with the prosecutor, Mr. Sakda Klairomsai, at the Office of Pattaya Public Prosecutors along with the Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Pisit Poonsarp who has reportedly promised victims previously he would help them as much as he could with the case and situation.

Mr. Sakda told The Pattaya News, “The bank management had already filed a lawsuit and complaint to arrest the suspect, Mr. Chaiyasit, over alleged theft.”

“He has been accused of stealing bank books and important documents. He has been in jail for several weeks now and has recently been denied bail as he is considered a flight risk. He remains jailed and under observation.”

“In this issue there are about 30 different cases in total with multiple victims in which these cases will soon be prosecuted. There are a variety of different scams and frauds the suspect reportedly utilized and so we need to file these cases independently.”

“We have already contacted the bank about how they can compensate victims who really need their money back immediately, especially for those victims who are bedridden and ill. The bank has stated they are continuing to look into the issue.”

“We will urged investigators to work quickly and carefully on this as some of the victims have reportedly lost their entire life savings.” Sakda concluded.

The Pattaya News notes that due to the ongoing police investigation and legal action the name and exact location of the bank could not be named for this report, although the name of the suspect has been released by Pattaya Police.
