Rayong to hold Valentine event at Rayong Aquarium to boost domestic tourism

A Valentine event, ‘Sweet Sea Valentine Day’ is to be held in Rayong this weekend to boost domestic tourism.

The Rayong Vice Governor, Mr. Anan Nakniyom, told the Thai press “The event will be held on this Valentine’s Day, February 14, at the Rayong Aquarium in the Pae sub-district, Mueang Rayong.”

“The Covid -19 pandemic has damaged Rayong tourism especially hotels, resorts and restaurants. About 90 -100 percent of the bookings have been canceled.” Anan continued.

“The whole Rayong economy has been effected from the weeks of Covid-19 related closures and we cannot estimated the total damage costs.” Anan explained.

“This event is aimed to boost domestic tourism in Rayong.”

“This Valentine event will be free entry for the Rayong aquarium for all along with a free activity of releasing shells and fish for 250 couples.” Anon continued.

“There will be free music performances. Hotel operators will also provide special promotions at the event. Of course, Covid-19 precautions will still take place like social distancing, mask wearing, and temperature checks.” Anon concluded.
