Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) ordered a postponement of the BTS Green Line fare of 104 baht throughout the line until further notice to reduce the financial burden of local people during the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus.
Bangkok governor Asawin Kwanmuang approved the BMA announcement today, February 9th, regarding the new fare adjustment for the Green Line BTS project after the BMA received a policy from the government to review the fares by considering the matter of local people daily incomes and costs in general.
According to the notification, the new fare of 104 baht was originally set to start on February 16th, 2021. The line covers about 52 kilometers with 48 stations, from Samut Prakan’s Khaha station to Pathum Thani’s Khu Khot station.
By virtue of Article 4 of the Bangkok Metropolitan Ordinance regarding service fees for the Bangkok Mass Transit System B.E. 2552, the BMA, therefore, postpones the collection of 104-baht fare for the Green Line BTS project issued on January 15, 2021, until further notice.
