Tonight marks the one year anniversary of the tragic mass shooting in Korat that killed over 30 people

Today, February 8th, 2021, marks the one year anniversary of a tragic mass shooting incident in which an armed disgruntled soldier killed 31 people and injured 58 in Korat, most around the Terminal 21 shopping mall.

The incident shocked Thailand to the core, a country where mass shootings are relatively rare.

Due to Covid-19, large memorial events will likely not take place but many smaller, private events were still due to be marked in and around Korat involving family members of the victims as well as those who survived the tragic shooting.

We have gathered some of the articles and material from this incident we published last year as a look back at the tragic shooting and to remember those we have lost.
