Driver dies after truck crashes into tree in Chonburi

Chonburi-

A male driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after his truck crashed into a tree in the Nongyai district over the past weekend.

The Nongyai Police was notified of the accident at Road Number 344 in the Khao Sok sub-district this past weekend.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the severely damaged truck on the side of the road collided with a tree.

The driver, Mr. Suppachai Pookengsang, 37, was found dead at the scene. It took more than two hours to free his body from the badly damaged vehicle.

His colleague, who works at a chicken farm and wasn’t named but arrived at the scene shortly after the accident after being contacted from a card in the victim’s wallet, told police Mr. Suppachai was driving alone returning from work and likely lost control of his vehicle.

Nongyai police are still reviewing the incident to determine the exact sequence of events as there were not any direct witnesses.
