Man seriously injured after his crane truck hits power line in Si Racha

Si Racha –

A Thai man who was operating a crane truck has sustained serious injuries from electric shock at an under construction area on a road in Si Racha this week.

The Si Racha Police was notified of the incident in the afternoon earlier this week at Assumption Intersection on Sukhumvit Road in Si Racha.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the crane truck.

Mr. Saifon Tajeng, 35, had sustained serious injuries from electric shock. He was unconscious on the road. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Ms. Sopit Praichart, 31, his colleague, told the press, “We were removing cement barriers onto the truck. Mr. Saifon was controlling the crane.”

“The crane accidentally hooked with a high voltage power line above the road before he suffered a severe electric shock. Mr. Saifon fell off the crane driver’s seat onto the ground.” Sopit continued.

Police are still investigating the incident.
