Pipes burst in Pattaya area causing street flooding, alarming local residents

Pattaya –

Water pipes burst in the Soi 6 area of Naklua last night (February 2nd) and caused minor street flooding in Pattaya, although alarmed local residents.

The Pattaya News was notified of the incident at 10:30 P.M. on Naklua Road Soi 6, Banglamung. (Not Soi 6 in Central Pattaya)

Local residents nearby told The Pattaya News they did not know what caused the pipes to burst. They saw water heavily rising up from the ground before they called the Pattaya Waterworks Authority (PWA). Many were panicking as the level of water was rising quickly and threatening to flood into local businesses and homes.

PWA dispatched an emergency team to resolve the situation before any flood-related damage could be done to local property. PWA staffers stated to The Pattaya News the incident is under investigation for what caused an unusual non-rainy season flooding in the area.
