Bangkok –

Thailand’s Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) today, January 27th, announced major arrests and confiscations of illegal electronic cigarettes and fashionable teeth braces at 15 areas nationwide between January 7th to the 26th.

The CPPD authorities arrested 11 suspects in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Sa Kaeo, and Nakhon Pathom and found more than 5,000 pieces of electronic cigarettes, liquid refills, and atomizer heads, worth approximately 3,000,000 baht during the operation.

The suspects had reportedly violated Customer Protection law B.E. 2522 and were initially charged for illegally selling and/or providing electronic cigarettes and their components without permission.
