Banglamung, Chonburi –

Pattaya City Police and the Banglamung district office this afternoon (January 13th) raided a massage shop in the Pattaya area after allegedly offending the emergency decree and a closure order to control the Covid-19 virus.

The raid was led by the Banglamung Administrative Chief officers Mr. Phonchai Sangeiad and Major Chainarong Chaiin of the Pattaya City Police.

The raid was at a massage shop on Central Pattaya Road in Nongprue. Six female staffers were found inside the massage shop.

The owner, Mrs. Boonsri Howart, 47, who was also found inside, and her staffers were taken to the Banglamung District Office to face potential legal charges.

Mrs. Boonsri is facing charges of allegedly opening a health massage shop without a permit, offending the Chonburi disease control order, a social gathering which is at risk of spreading Covid19 and offending the Emergency Decree.

The other six staffers are facing charges of violating the emergency decree by gathering socially.

The shop was allegedly still open for business, although attempting to hide the behavior by having the shutter partly down, lights off and pretending to be closed.
