The Chonburi Public Health Department this morning at 9:45 A.M. (January 12th) announced 19 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in Chonburi, the majority in Si Racha and some are in Banglamung.

Chonburi now has a total of 606 cases of Covid-19 and one previous death from this recent round of Covid-19 cases. The death was a 47-year-old woman with previous health issues.

Today’s cases saw 15 in Si Racha and four in Banglamung.

Si Racha has been the main focus of Public Health Officials for nearly a week now after a cluster from a bar and brewery called the ‘Rong beer 90’ has grown to infect more than sixty people.

Of the Banglamung cases two were close contacts of a prior patient. One visited the brewery in Si Racha. The last visited an illegal gambling establishment.

The majority of the Si Racha cases are from the brewery cluster, although two are under investigation.
