The Chonburi Public Health Department this morning at 10:00 A.M. (January 11th) announced 20 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in Chonburi, the majority in Si Racha and associated with a bar cluster.
Si Racha has been the main focus of Public Health Officials for nearly a week now after a cluster from a bar and brewery called the ‘Rong beer 90’ has grown to infect sixty people.
Chonburi now has a total of 587 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and one previous death from this recent round of Covid-19 cases. The death was a 47-year-old woman with previous health issues.
Today’s cases saw 18 in Si Racha, one in Sattathip, and one in Panat Nikhom.
There were no confirmed cases found in Banglamung for the first time in many days.
Nearly all the cases are connected to either a bar cluster in Si Racha or illegal gambling in Banglamung.
Si Racha has now become the main focus due to this cluster in terms of Covid-19 cases in the Eastern provinces.
Yesterday (January 10th) the Chonburi Public Health Department announced 49 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in Chonburi this afternoon, the majority in Si Racha.

Chonburi announces 49 new cases of Covid-19, most in Si Racha and associated with bar cluster
The Chonburi Governor will be holding a press conference at 12:30 P.M. today. It is unclear what will be discussed although the cluster of infections in Si Racha is likely. We will keep you updated.
