Pattaya motorbike taxi driver finds foreigners wallet and returns it, earns praise on social media

Pattaya, Chonburi-

A female motorbike taxi driver in Pattaya has earned significant praise on Thai social media after returning a lost wallet to a foreign owner in Pattaya.

The taxi driver, Ms. Kelaya Supaphol, 43, was dropping off a customer near the McDonald’s on Second Road in Pattaya when she saw the wallet lying on the ground. She picked up the wallet and reviewed the contents with another motorbike taxi driver as she wanted to ensure she had a witness to the incident.

The second driver and Kelaya discovered that the wallet belonged to a foreign man whose name was not given to the Pattaya News. They managed to contact the owner of the wallet which contained multiple valuable licenses and identification documents and arranged to meet him at a seafood restaurant in the Pratumnak Hill area. The second driver accompanied Ms. Kelaya as she does not speak English.

The foreign man was so delighted with the honest behavior he rewarded Kelaya with a thousand baht. The pictures from the incident were posted by the second motorbike driver on a popular Thai social media group, Pattaya Talk, where Kelaya got widespread praise for the honest behavior.

Both the foreign man and Ms. Kelaya were very happy with how the situation was resolved.
